Understanding rental car pricing on GoMore

As a car owner on GoMore, setting the right price for your rental car is crucial for maximizing your bookings and earnings. Here is a comprehensive guide to help you understand how pricing works on GoMore, including how to set your daily rate, the benefits of period discounts, and the details regarding service fees.

Daily base price

Your daily base price represents an off-peak one-day booking, excluding renter service fees.

How to choose a competitive price

When you list your car on GoMore we will assign it with a daily base price based on the model, age, location and numerous other factors.

  • Stay within our recommended price range: We benchmark your car against thousands of other on GoMore to suggest a price that will result in the highest earnings. So we suggest you follow our guidance on your pricing page.

Your price changes based on demand

The daily price of your car is adjusted automatically in response to demand fluctuations in the market. We take into account, weekdays, weekends, holidays and seasons. This ensures your car is attractively priced to maximise your earning potential.

How you benefit

  • Increased bookings: By lowering prices when demand is weak, your car becomes more attractive to potential renters, increasing the likelihood of bookings.
  • Higher earnings: Conversely, by increasing prices during periods of high demand, you maximise your revenue potential per rental.
  • Market responsiveness: This pricing strategy keeps you competitive without the need for constant manual adjustments, adapting to market conditions in real time.

How to see it in action

  • Your calendar: Head to your calendar to see how your daily price changes, and adjust the price of any specific day if you need to.

Multi-day rental pricing

To help you receive more bookings, especially for multi-day trips, we automatically adjust your car’s price so it stays competitive with traditional rental companies and other alternatives. This ensures you don’t lose long rentals simply because your price is too high compared to the rest of the market.

These pricing adjustments apply to all cars on GoMore and cannot be turned off.

Why we use long-term rental pricing

Renters looking for several days or weeks compare prices very closely. Traditional rental companies typically offer lower per-day prices for long rentals. To make sure your car is considered in these comparisons, your price is automatically adjusted.

This helps you:

  • Win more long rentals, which are among the highest-earning bookings overall
  • Earn more total income, even if the daily price is reduced
  • Avoid losing bookings to cheaper alternatives
  • Reduce handovers and workload, because one long rental replaces several short ones

How it works

1. Applied to multi-day bookings

Period discounts are activated for bookings that span multiple days.

2. Adjusted based on season and demand

The size of the adjustment depends on: - The length of the booking - The time of year - Current market competitiveness

During busy periods, adjustments are smaller. During quieter periods, they may be larger to help your car stay attractive and secure bookings.

3. Easy to preview

You can always see how the pricing works on your car:

Go to Your car → View profile and simulate a booking to preview the final renter price.

Your controls

You still control how your car is rented:

  • Set minimum and maximum rental lengths
  • Block dates
  • Adjust availability and handover hours

Go to Your car → Booking settings to manage these options.

Service fees

GoMore automatically deducts a service fee from each booking. This fee covers the costs of insurance, maintenance of our app and website, and our customer service team.

  • No hidden fees: There are no setup fees or ongoing subscriptions for owners. Owners pay a fee only when they rent out their car.
